Unfortunately, this latest manifestation of SETI will be unsuccessful. Most advanced alien cultures utilize a form of communication that is currently beyond the detection of Earth science. It's a kind of isospatial superstring resonance that allows communication at billions of times lightspeed. EM propogation is far too slow to be useful even within a single solar system. Alien communication was discovered in 2138 by a dark energy research group at the University of Arizona. From the communications, approximately 175 years later we were able to exchange DNA sequences and trade representatives of our species and theirs without the impossible necessity of having to actually travel the hundreds of thousands of light years to make contact.
