Knox County schools has paid out a lot of money to settle a case based on their stupid zero tolerance policy. How much? So much that they want to keep it secret from the taxpayers! I know that they hired a bigshot Supreme Court litigator from a Washington law firm to help argue their case -- at, probably, $600 an hour. I'd like to see all these expenses published somewhere, like maybe Metro Pulse.
