Anyway, even if they were going to do something that lame, why couldn't they at least play a decent song? Some possibilities, in keeping with the "Torch" theme:
"Dig for Fire" -- The Pixies
"Heatwave" -- Martha and the Vandellas (or the Who, or the Jam)
"Fire in the Hole" -- Method Man and Redman
"I'm on Fire" -- Bruce Springsteen
"Hot in the City" -- Billy Idol
"Ring of Fire" -- Johnny Cash
"Fields of Fire" -- Big Country
"Fire" -- Crazy World of Arthur Brown
"Fire" -- Ohio Players
"Fire" -- Prodigy
"Fire" -- Pointer Sisters
"My Old Flame" -- Spike Jones and his City Slickers
"Burn Hollywood Burn" -- Public Enemy
"Torch" -- Soft Cell
"Burning Down the House" -- Talking Heads
I'm sure there's lots more. Oh well. I guess dropping the "New
Rock" tag is at least honest, considering that it sounds like we'll mostly be getting warmed over, reheated, twice baked potatoes from now on.
