Johnny Knoxville Rules!

From AndrewSullivan.com:

IRONY SURPLUS:
How can anyone say that Americans are lacking in irony.
Have they watched four seconds of American television?
Every program on MTV is relentlessly ironic -- so much so
that there is nothing ironic about it. What is missing from
21st century American culture is sincerity, not irony. Nobody
in America wants to be a John Boy Walton, we're all trying
to be a Johnny Knoxville.

Scott Cooper, tattoo artist at Saint Tattoo on Broadway, who looks like an inked-up, gold-toothed Drew Carey (and who also used his needles on yrs trly), was on Sunday night's Jackass series finale.

You missed it. But it was very fast, mostly a quick shot of Cooper, Knoxville, and some poor sap who'd had "JACKASS" tattoo'd (in admittedly cool gothic-like letters) between his shoulder blades.

I didn't tape it, but MTV claims that all of the episodes will be rerun.

What did you get, Cooper's 1st and 7th times? Feel free to email me off list, if you're shy.

BTW-I'm now open for suggestions for my next tat. Granted, I probably won't use any of them...

It was Johnny's Knoxville's decision.

what was the reason behind that? getting too many complaints or hurt kids?

Some of both. Plus, I think it was getting more difficult to pull of stunts because people would recognize them. The show had kinda hit a point where it was eaier to end it than run it into the ground...Plus...it isn't like the guy is out of work. He's got some movies among other things coming up.

I understand that MTV plans on having some special episodes in the future, too. Meant to mention that.

Thanks for stopping by etg, Tattoojay.
