More free stuff!

So far, not one person has spoken up for anything I'm giving away. I find that kind of disturbing. I know you're not all as rich as Scary, so I can only assume you prefer to waste money instead of get things for free. Anyway, here's some more stuff that any of you can have for free, with no motive whatsoever, and again, this is not a joke or a hoax. My girlfriend and I recently came into a very large sum of money, if you need an explanation as to why I would do this. All items are in perfect shape unless noted.

Small Aiwa CD-boombox with tape deck.

"The Acid House" by Irvine Welsh.

CDs: Nick Drake, "Bryter Layter"
Ghost, "Snufbox Immanence"
Future Sound of London, "ISDN"
Yo La Tengo, "Genius + Love = Yo La Tengo"
Arab Strap, "The Red Thread"
Pulp, "This Is Hardcore"

Large red hunter's jacket.

Followups

Drake

I reckon I'll take some of that stuff of your hands, too. Anybody claim that Belle & Sebastian cd yet? A lot of the stuff you mention I'm not familiar with.

Oh I'll take your word for it.

If no one else is interested in that shiny Future Sounds of London CD...

Hey suggest a time and place. I'll probably be running around Barley's tomorrow to see Mike Ill and the other neo non anti oh whetever the hell it's called folk singer.

Oh I'll take your word for it.

I'll take the "The Acid House" by Irvine Welsh. Can't pass up a free copy of a book I've wanted to read...

You know, in high school, we had to do some strange suicide prevention unit in, like, health class (or maybe it was gym--memory fades). One of the warning signs of a person on the edge was, allegedly, that person giving stuff away.

And I'm sure that is a truly meaningless observation in this case, just popped into my tiny little brain. Forgive me. I could really use a nap.

OK, shall I drop by the MP office this week to give you and Jesse the goods? Jesse, you can have the t-shirt and Comp, but I'm gonna let CD have the FSOL. Feel free to select an alternate.

Well, hey, if you're going to drop by the office, I'll take the Yo La Tengo and Tibetan Freedom Concert discs, if they haven't been claimed.

quick comment-- actually I LIKED your poetry, and dialog, and short stories, and music at your site.

Question though-- why BUY Scary's claim that he is rich? He could easily be lying his ass off about it.

And if you guys DID come into a huge chunk of cash, buy MICROSOFT STOCK RIGHT NOW. Buy a PILE of it, man. Because in five years, you won't even have to work anymore if you do. I'll guarantee ya that.

Never ever ever go into the stock market to get rich. It can be done. but it's risky.

For all we known in two years Micro will go down the tubes. Inplausible sounding now but this is economics we're talking about. much akin to popular taste in stability.

take a look at the splits where ya double value...

since December 1997, it has split three times, and gone from less than 20 to more than 60...

with each split you DOUBLE your money.

Microsoft has been gaining strength and ground since DOS 2.1.

For more than ten years they've been on the cutting edge, and there's no reason to doubt them now.

Yes but notice what happaned between 2000 and 2001

Ill let the cutting edge argument go towards techies who know what there talking about.

But economcially, never ever trust a single company. In one year anything can go wrong. One lousy mistep could wreck it. Or not just a mistep but another company with better timing and better ideas.

But really pleading with you or anyone of any stock stature. Never put the majority of your money in one stock. Because if that compnay goes down, and every company does because everything dies, you go down.

If your going into stock put it in multiple shares.

But honestly if your going to gamble go to vegas. The women wear skimpier clothing then your standard stock broker. And thank god I might add.

Only a total fool would buy tech stocks at this late date.

Wanna buy into something? Buy "dollar store" stocks. They've gone up over 65% since January.

Yeah! If you had had any damn sense you would have put all your money in RHAT and LNUX a year ago! But you missed your big chance, loser! HA HA! Get me more fries, NOW!

Fortunately, Knoxville has a financial wizard like Scary to keep us from disappering into oblivion.
