today i went through the drive through of a knoxville fast food shop and after paying for my meal i payed for the 2 cars behind me. for no reason. just cause. the best part was driving off and looking at their faces as the drive through attenedant told them that their meal was paid for. who says there is no such thing as a free lunch. damn. just felt good to do a random act of kindness, making it a reality and not a bumpersticker. anyway maybe one day when those people are in a good mood they will do the same for the 2 cars behind them.
anyway i just wanted to share how nice it felt to somthing like that
that is all

Tatoo Jay,

When the euphoria wears off, you're gonna realize that the cheeseburgers you bought for those millionaires behind you didn't mean a thing. And you're 20 bucks shorter. Take more control over your charity and give to bonafide organizations. Sorry to shit on your goodness.

interesting thing, its been 3 days and i guess the euphoria is still there, when does it wear off exactly?

also has it become trendy in millionaire world to drive a mid 80s honda hatchback?

i never said i didnt contribute to "bonafide" organizations, thats just not what im talking about here. this wasnt charity, this was just a friday thing to do. like giving someone a gift when its not their birthday or christmas. i just felt like making someone smile a bit

i guess the whole laters thing kinda jacked up the anon thing, sometimes i type faster than i think, you will find this to be true most of the time
take care

Spoken like a complete idiot. It did mean something - I guarantee you those people felt amazing that someone just randomly paid for their food. If they felt good, then the act was completely justified - because making people feel good means something.

Now, go back to your Limp Bizkit CD and miserable excuse for a life.

I am working on a saturday. I own a book store currently in Charlotte, NC temporarily...across from a theme park that used to be part of Heritage USA...imagine the crazies loose around here! I welcome random acts of kindness because it's a rare sight around here...It's really sad. I can promise that by the end of every day I encounter at least one individual who makes me question my faith in the human race entirely HOWEVER! Luckily, I will encounter a smiling face holding the door open for me or a genuine "Thank YOu" when I find a particular book the person was looking for. It's a nice counterbalance.

This may sound biased and quite redneckish but I can testify that the majority of northern people I have encountered here, and there's a lot, are very rude. I don't understand it. One customer I had from New York asked me rather bluntly, "What the hell do you southern people have to be so happy about?" I answeered "the fact that there's more southern people like us out there, that's what." He still bought a book...I still got his money...I would have been happier without his business if it meant not having to be interrupted by his shitty presence.

Keep doing random acts of kindness...There does exist folks who appreciate it!

See, this is what I'm talking about. I do shit like this all the time. I mean, why not?

What I don't understand is inconsiderate fuckfaces who won't even slow down to let me in their lane even though I've had my turn signal on for half a mile.

It really doesn't take much effort to be nice, and it feels good, and if more people would do it, we'd all be a lot happier. But, I do understand that most people these days are junkies for unhappiness. People take such great joy in misery that it boggles my tiny little brain.

People magnify the misery in their lives because it gives them power. If they're suffering then they have an excuse for acting like the assholes they are.

Exactly. But what's even worse are people who magnify their happiness as an excuse for being an asshole...
