Well Julie, I tried to get to the reason WHY you think I am an 'obsessive reactionary'....

and from your post down below, it looks like you based the entire thing on my PRO LIFE stance. You said you believe there is a point, late in pregnancy, where the "state's interest in protecting the rights of the fetus overrides the mother's interest in privacy"....

apparently, in some states, the 'state' has no interest at all, as partial birth abortions are STILL DONE in some of them.

If you can call sticking a pair of scissors in the back of an 8 month old baby's head, and then taking a vacuum device (which is three hundred times more powerfull than a typical vacuum cleaner) and sucking its BRAINS OUT... a 'mother's interest in privacy'...

pardon me while I shake my head. I call it medical MURDER.

I'd like to CHANGE that. I DESPISE rapists. What is bizarre about wanting a safer world from sleazy rapists?

I don't LIKE the fact that domestic violence is so commonplace yet ignored that it takes a dead Nicole Brown Simpson to wake up the populace. What's bizarre about that?

I don't LIKE the fact that stalkers and psychos and molesters slip thru the criminal justice system like water down a duck's back, and I want to CHANGE the system...what's wrong with that?

I don't like the FACT that there are heinous bastards on death rows all over this country who have abducted, raped and murdered totally innocent girls, teen girls and women, and I think the states should follow THRU with what a jury of their peers said to do with them...

and so I AM involved in the criminal justice system, working to change it in positive ways; what's 'bizarre' about that?

I don't LIKE the fact that carjackers terrorize people, and I want a minimum of ten years locked up for them-- what's 'bizarre' about that?

It seems to me that you only advocate victims' rights if the victim is a female. You have a tendency to fixate on rape, domestic violence, molestation, and stalking. And you seem to only recognize these crimes if they are committed against a female. I have yet to read a post from you defending the rights of a male victim.

After the first few of your posts I read, I came to the personal conclusion that you were one of those guys that if I met you in person, I would definitely NOT encourage you . . . not even by friendly conversation. This obsession you have with keeping us females "safe" is smarmy, creepy, and foreshadows control issues in potential future male/female relationships. In short, you really weird me out.

You are right. I cannot believe how misguided I have been on these issues for so long. I recant everything I formerly stated, and beg the pardon of those who may have been led astray by my baby-bashing, murderous, pro-crime rhetoric. I am going to bed soon, though I doubt I'll sleep very peacefully upon the sudden realization that I have wasted most of my adult life in recalcitrant opposition to the light of truth.

I knew it was a good post, and I also knew that I AM not a reactionary, and I also KNEW that if pressed, you'd never be able to make the case that I am a reactionary.

For a girl who claims she LIKES to argue with her religious family members, you certainly can't back up a aclaim here very well, huh?
