You go Alison!

She's something of an AC/DC fan, too. The "So Long, So Wrong" cover photo is a subtle riff on "Highway to Hell," or so I'm told.

The new album's really good.

These things are true. She is something of an AC/DC fan, the cover of So Long, So Wrong and the publicity photos were definitely inspired by them, and the new album is really, really, really good.

Several years ago while setting up alisons' band gear for a gig at the Tennessee Theatre, she had an old radio set up to give the stage that country living room look.part of the set was a double 8x10 picture frame.on the left picture was Bill Monroe. No surprise there. The other side was Joe Elliot of Def Lepard, baggy Union Jack shorts and all.Crazy,man.

See what I mean! Now, and in the future, we as a society will only do things with out money and minds that someone else has told us is cool to do. Sick. Sick. Sick. Sick. Sick. As Ruth once told me, "we are no longer a society of free thinkers, we are now a society of followers and you can't be faulted for seeing the bigger picture." You know what,? She was smoking some goddamn crack. I have been faulted. I have suffered. I think I'll just grow my hair out and not comb it, drive some goddamn Honda whilst wearing a damn cap backwards and hang out in goddamn bars that until yesterday were reserved only for those that really got it. Shit. This is depressing but it's goddamn true. We are no longer a world of many, we are a world of few. Shit.

I think it will be interesting when the market for everything (particularly music) becomes so fragmented that everyone makes up their own segment. So in a William Gibson world, the only music you listen to is stuff a computer instantaneously creates to mimic your "preference." Each individual becomes their own favorite group, and it's all like standing between two mirrors, our own image infinitely reflected back at us. There's a spritely little vision of hell, no?

I "crack you up?" Jeezus, that's not what I'm trying to do. I am on a one man campaign to stop all the sillyness that goes on without thought. I am leading the expedition to the center of the id. Have you stretched your id? You must do that or your super ego will take over and all will be lost! I am not fucking joking! We have to stop the bullshit nature of our consumption. I might be wrong, but I might be right.

Girl clowns really turn my crank!
As for the Gorillaz, I heard the song, liked it, saw the video, loved it. It's that simple. I horde all my cds and don't hang out with a clique. I merely asked for her opinion as to the overall quality of the disc. I don't read Rolling Stone or watch MTV religiously like Scary, so I don't know if the band is being shoved down society's throat or not. Don't care, neither!
