What local band had the first CD?

Ran into a prominent local lawyer recently and he asked me which local band had the first CD? Something I should know. My best guess is Every Mother's Nightmare from Oak Ridge-at least one of those guys was supposedly from Oak Ridge. Next thread; whatever happened to Every Mother's Nightmare?

Followups

What local band had the first CD?

Rick Rhule was from Farragut. He is the lead singer of E.M.N. They were signed to Arista in 1990 and released one CD. It was not the first CD from a local band. That honor goes to Hard Knox*, who Rick sang for between Gene Hadley's break ups with Danny Lusk whom played guitar and was from Oak Ridge.

E.M.N. is still together and played a gig at The Rum Boogie Cafe on Beale Street last month.

Hard Knox released "Trapped In The City's Web" in the late 80s on CD. Their first LP, "Love's Out Of Season" was released in 1985.
