The man cranks out one helluva bulb! If it were not for Ian, I would have gone p-o-s-t-a-l by now in this music promotions biz. He can produce miracles on paper via flyers, print ads, handbills, and damn near anything I need done. So as we all shed a tear in our beer tonight remembering the last 10 years, I beg of you to raise your plastic chalice as high as you can, and toast one for the gorilla-of-a-guy who is IAN BLACKBURN! Long may you run...

I just gotta say...

Amen, brother.

And I think Jack nailed (profile-wise, anyways) the monkey man quite well...

Ian made his first impression on me in the early '80's. On Clinch and 15th there was a Women's Clinic across from the Falafel Hut. The presence of abortion protesters was nothing out of the ordinary but as I scanned the small sign bearing gathering, a figure in the very middle of this crowd stood out. It was Ian standing a head taller and serenely holding a placard above the rest which read, "Up with Figs".

Congratulations on your achievements with the Metropulse, Ian. We're very lucky to have you in our midst.

I cannot believe there's someone in Knoxville who:

1. saw that,

2. and remembered it this long. Whoo!

Thanks, y'all!

Geez, why don't we just start a sitcom called "Everybody Loves Ian"?

I hate the bastard. He's merciless. Merciless, I tell you!

And those damn anthropoids stink.

Yes, clearly we all just fucking love Ian. I love him so much that I would love to truncate the New Rock 90 benefit from the entertainment calendar again just so I could have the argument all over again.

I'll tell you what people, when the group hug starts I'm grabbing some asses!

Ian is one fine motherfucker.

If there's ass to be grabbed, I'm there. The ass I have at home to grab is getting a bit large.

God, it's so gratifying to stir up the curmudgeons, causing a little twitch in their crusty hearts. It _is_ ass grabbin' good fun!
