Been following Surface (now SeeThrough Human???)for five or six months. Been absolutely blown away by them.... They've shown a lot of talent and do put on a great show, but I'm here to tell you that talent isn't enough. The singer must think he is Axel Rose or something. You know the type-no respect for the paying fans. He showed himself on stage to be a real ass, going into a rant about shit that didn't have anything to do with the show. I don't know, put a microphone in the hands of some people and they OD on the "power".
To the surprise of their fans in attendance, and from their looks-the other band members, this jerk told us not to vote for them. I forgot to say this was a battle of the bands contest.
There is something to be said for professionalism or lack there-of. Too bad for the other guys in the band if they have to put up with other crap like this in spite of their talent.

i too was at that show,but didn't actually see see-thru play. (i arrived just as they were coming off the stage.) see-thru had won the 1st BOTB at that club and had earlier decided to let the other band win. (straight-line-stitch). the day of the show see-thru decided to not go thru with this plan of throwing the contest. the singer travis appearently decided on his own to reverse that plan. that's why the look on the other band members faces. i don't think they were thrilled with the idea, but, the damage had been done.i have to disagree with you (& all blabbers know i hate disagreeing with anyone) about travis' ego. i've always thought he was a good front man for the band & quite the gentleman on stage. he does have some problems with his voice (he wears it out real quickly while performing). his voice was already strained from a show 2 nites b4 at blue cats. the day of the BOTB show he could barely talk. after the show, he couldn't talk. he honestly gives 110% of himself for every show. travis tries to connect with each and every audience member while singing. he really is one of the nicest guys around.

first of all, if the guy could SING, his voice wouldn't be shot AT ALL.
if it's still shot after two days, he needs to take some voice lessons and stop trying to imitate the fat guy from creed.
that sounds harsh, but just ask any real singer.

Sounds to me like a little bit of success has totally went to all their heads.
Travis isn't that good of a singer,after two days rest his voice was still shot? Please change the freakin' babies diaper before the next show so his lil' whinny ass can finish the show.
Maybe he should've swallowed instead of spit as he was sucking up to everybody....?

i don't think it would have mattered who see-thru was up against they didn't want to compete in it anymore. i don't think SLS saw it as disrespect.at this point i will do the unusual and let the subject drop. something tells me no matter what is said in see-thru's defence, you fucks are gonna read something bad into it. and what band are you dumbasses in? thought not. to my boyz in see-thru - sorry i opened my big mouth. spoke outta turn and all that. like i've always told ya - the only thing worse than them talking trash on ya, is when they aren't talking about you at all. sorry fellas

i don't think ego played a part in the throw. it was more like trying to purposefully not win. they won the 1st one and didn't want to continue on with the competition. they weren't sure who was gonna win, they just didn't want to be a part of it anymore.
