It's time Gene old boy. They lost. The bullshit "Recall" is over, time for you to prove your merit and buy me that flask of bourbon.

You and they lost. I'm goddamn thirsty! Time to pay the debt.

You gonna welch Mikey?

It's time Gene old boy. They lost.

So it is, Scar. Under my strict conditions that KnoxRecall's petition would ultimately be ruled legitimate, you have indeed won this bet.

...time for you to prove your merit and buy me that flask of bourbon.

There does seem to be some confusion as to the wager, however. The bet was not for a "flask" of anything, but for a drink. I think you'll find my "merit" to be stronger than your memory. Let me know when and where you would like to imbibe. It will no doubt be a spectacle.

Oops. My mistake. You've already named the establishment: "that dump on Market" was your selection. I can only assume you mean Macleod's as that's the only watering hole on Market.

All I need now is a time, Mangaboy.

Well Mikey, I have a few items to take care of first. I need to trim my rather shabby beard and make the journey past all 12 traffic signals on Chapman Hwy. and then I shall be ready.

Tell ya what, since you're such a good sport the second round will be on me.

Genie, I think since you LOST that Scar should get to pick the place. Makes more sense to me. Why should losers get to make decisions?

"...I will wager you one (1) beer (along with the spectacle of public humiliation) that the recall petition will ultimately be ruled to be valid. The winner selects the establishment.

Deal?

The guidelines are clear.

I've already placed my order down at that dump on Market. You better whip out that nylon wallet with velcro and pay the bartender."

As you can see, Gene specified exactly what you request. As you can further see, your sweetscabby already specified the establishment. Really, dear, if you can't keep up with such a simple subject as this, how do you think you'll ever keep up with your shabbyman in the future?

Pay attention, girl.

Right. But, according to that post I was to be the one facing some public humiliation and, well, now that Mikey has lost it seems to me that it will be he that faces said humiliation. Even more so when I post his pencil portrait behind the bar for all to see.

I guess the quality of water over thar near Vestal rots their brains or sumthin.

Does he earn interest on that for each day it takes him to respond? In that case, if I were him I'd just keep putting it off.

Oh, I have kept up. I just enjoy public humiliation. I don't guess there's much that's more humiliating than losing a bet and letting all of your buddies at your favorite bar watch you buy Scaramanga a drink. I think Genie will recall on you, Scar.

Tell you what Joe, you fucking hack, if your beloved Mike (Gene Harrogate) has posted less than me in the past month and a half I will buy you a damn Pabst Blue Ribbon.

The simple fucking fact, you fucking hack, is that I have posted far less than any of the other "regulars" so I guess that proves that not only do I fucking win, but that I have more of a "life" outside of this shit hole known as the web than anyone you care to mention.

The indians called it mase. We call it corn. You can hereby eat mine.

Fucking hack.

Tell you what Joe, you fucking hack

hack (hak) n. [Short for HACKNEY.] 1. A horse used for riding or driving: HACKNEY. 2. An old or worn-out horse. 3.a. One who does unpleasant or distasteful tasks for money or reward: HIRELING. b. A writer hired to produce routine, often formulaic writing. 4. A coach or carriage for hire. 5.Informal.a.A taxicab. b.The driver of a taxicab.

Well, I can't argue with that definition, at least not 3.a. But I've never claimed that what I do is high art or even low art or anything (and anyway, I do like my job--I'd much rather do it than say, be an accountant or an engineer or work in management, even though they'd all pay much better). I don't know what kind of life you have. Still, your regular need to post how much more money, wealth and power you have than the rest of us haks makes me wonder.

You haven't been posting much here lately, I'll give you that. Still, sir, can I have the PBR? I'm not one to turn down an offer for beer.

Cheers

Sure Joe, carry your hack ass over here and you can have your choice in fine bevs. I currenty have in stock:

PBR
Sam Adam's (Summer Ale and Pale Ale)
Red Stripe
Guinness (cans, bottles and a drum)
Newcastle
Tecate (cans and yes, I have limes)

If you are in the mood for something a little more manly I have:
Jack Daniels
Blanton's
Bushmills (three variations)
Jim Beam
Absolute
Absolute Raspberry
Absolute Vanilla
Seven or eight small batch tequilas
A few different local spirits including some smashing peach shine
Various rums
Various single malts
Three sangrias
Wild Turkey
About every gin you can name
Several cognacs and brandys
Yes, even Courvoisier, I am a "ladys man" after all!
and various other lesser liquors including Pimm's, Kahlua, Absinthe (from a pal's trip to Spain, not that fake shit you can get here,) the list goes on as well as most popular mixers and chasers.

Or will we go to the wine cellar and pop the cork on some nicely aged red?

Alright, you wretched 'manga misappropriation of flesh; I'm going to demonstrate that Gene didn't really "lose, " in any truly relevant sense of the word by personally donating part of the money necessary to buy you a thimble or two of some cheap Ripple swill (if for no other reason than to get you to clog your piehole and shut the living fuck up). I call upon my fellow Recallers/Harrogaters to do the same. I predict your (shitty) bourbon will soon be in hand, and that Mikey will have enuff cash left over to get at least a couple of IPAs or so.

Long live the melon!

L-O-S-E-R-S !!!

Twice in two weeks you LOST!!!

It has little to do with the liquid and all to do with the blatant facts.

You lost AGAIN!!!

The only hope you claim is to try all of this shit all over again after the next election, and who even knows who will fill those seats! You couldn't even get anyone to step up to the plate and sign a goddamn petition, much less answer your 'oh please god won't you help our city find a new mayor' ad you ran in the paper.

You'll be feeding me. Baby Scaramanga likes to eat. I'll bring Francisco. Now pick a time.
