Amphebian...The Changelings....Thickly produced surreal sounding stuff. Love her vocals. Puts me in the right fram of delusion.
Nordic folk roots 2...Found this at the disc excchange for about four bucks. Modern bands playing old norwegian type music.
Time out of Mind...Bob Dylan...Only when in the proper mood. Much like Downward Spiral if you listen to it with a heavy heart you end up utterly depressed.
Any volume of the Anthology of American Folk Music. Really this stuff is from another world.
Second parter...What songs get you up in the morning?
Psycho Killer...Swarf Sisters...Great great great ego trip for me. Don't know why. Justa dancey half agressive song.
Bye Bye Zombie(Baby)...Pink Sexies...Best track on the CD. great attitude great rythem it'll get me going every time.
Burn Sinister...Killing Miranda...Another one that puts me into an ego trip. Again I have no idea as to why. Great lyrics. Have to be careful when playing this in car. No cop wants to see a dancing driver.
Slave to the Wage...Placebo...Ok laugh at me. Laugh at me while I'm listening to this song driving to Food City. Go ahead and laugh.
Bride of Frankenstien...Frankenstien Drag Queens...This song sold me on them. just great. Vocals are awesome, guitar is just punchy fun, that chorus is just catchy.
Born again...Marilyn Manson...Hard Rockin chorus, attitude galore, and just that one line...that one line just touches me..."I'll put down your disco, and take your heart away."
Spinning Circles...Pegasi 51...Favorite song from them. Wonderful lyrics. Easy melody. Wonderful chorus. Extremely wonderful chorus I find myself singing to it continously.
Zooman's Lament...Evil Twin...Ok Prey and Crazy are my favorites. But there's just something about Zooman's lament. It' grew on me that's for sure. Great rythem bit, Rus sings with some sort of wierd passion, and well it'll get you up.
Dracula...Iced Age...Still not sure about the album...But this song is great. Operatic vocals and strong heavy guitar. Love it.
The KKK took my Baby Away...Ramones...Early favorite of mine. I don't know it's just hypnotic. great variation of the hey ho chant.

for wind-down it's complete silence. with a job like mine silence is so very precious. the 20 min. drive home with no radio playin' is heavenly.

Wake up music: yeah, the Ramones are good; likewise Green Day; Fats Waller; Wu Tang Clan; Eminem; Tom Petty; the Fall; really, it depends on the morning. Usually I have on Morning Edition, but sometimes those NPR voices droning on about Israel or the Japanese stock market are just more than I can take.
Funeral music -- hmm. How 'bout Mahalia Jackson followed by Moby ("God Moving Over the Face of the Waters") followed by Ray Charles ("Swanee River Rock") and close it out with Springsteen's "Cadillac Ranch."
