And for those using Mac OS X, there's Camino, another Mozilla offshoot. Started using it back in March, and haven't seen a pop-up since.
Apple's Safari is good, too. I like Camino a little better, though.

the anti pop-up download prevents me from opening other windows that i need/want to open, such as having two websites up at once.

some windows open properly, others get blocked.
If I get bored someday I might look at the source code for the two types of pages and compare/contrast.

sorry about the popups - I've got Pop-Up Stopper (free) and it blocked them all, so I didn't notice them.
