Why Rush was so incredibly wrong in his statements....

I wanted to write this post to state a few things. Everyone in America knows that the black community has some problems, with high crime and out of wedlock birth, to name just two of them.

But even with serious problems affecting them, the last thing...

THE LAST THING.... that they need is to be told that there are people out there who think that black quarterbacks are given a free pass by the media for bad performance BECAUSE they are black.

What makes Rush Limbaugh's commentary un-called-for....

is not that the statements he made are true. They ARE NOT true. Indeed, the airwaves in Philly have been filled with anti quarterback statements that never mentioned Donovan's race. This guy is NOT a first class quarterback in terms of his rating, and he has been given no quarter by the people who call in to talk radio there.

Rush might have had a point back in 1987 when Doug Williams was lighting up the scoreboards for the redskins, but in today's game where there are numerous black quarterbacks? He just looks SILLY.

What we have here is not a witch hunt by the 'ultra left media'....which indeed many conservatives have lambasted for occasionally good reasons....this was Rush Limbaugh putting a size 11 foot completely IN HIS OWN MOUTH.

Even if it was true, which it IS NOT (there is no media 'conspiracy' to promote black qaurterbacks or downplay black quarterback's deeds in the scope of those who have not done so well, and there HAVE BEEN a few that have not done so well)....

Rush Limbaugh's comments were divisive, untrue, un called for...

and simply DULL.

Donovan McNabb has been savaged in the press for his first two performances in this year, and the Philly airwaves are chock full of naysayers.

He has not been 'given a free ride' at ALL.

If I were president of ESPN I'd have fired Rush Limbaugh on the spot for this outrage. The worst part is that this kind of spectacle FEEDS the ultra left's already obvious PARANOIA, and only fits into their previously held paradigms about conservatives. I can only hope that good solid conservatives DISTANCE themselves from such nonsense. What this proves is that Rush has a high school education, which to me has been a serious knock against him for years. The man has had real success on radio, and he simply has gotten way too big for his britches, as they say.

It's not that 'what he said' was true, but 'not' well known.

What he said shows he is out of touch with the sporting world.

Sportwriters all over the country were AGHAST and FLABBERGASTED by what he said.

This man needs to spend some time READING, and less time TALKING.

Limbaugh has spent too may years lecturing his listeners, and too few moments HEARING them.

SCREW HIM. Sports and the NFL are better off without him, and so is ESPN.
