RIP Shawn Lane

My dear friend Shawn Lane passed away Friday. Funeral is Wed. He joined Black Oak Arkansas at the ripe old age of 15. Child prodigy for sure. I used to haul him up to Audubon Park on Saturdays with his Fender Strat and Orange amp cause he wasn't old enough to drive.

Shawn got us our first gig at the Antenna Club. He actually showed up at the show and afterwards told me it was great. (so what if he was lying)

Guitar Player Magazine voted him as one of the greatest guitar players in the world.

I saw in the paper that he died. Played with BOA when he was 14 or something like that? I thought of you jmac when I read about him. My condolences.
