I love this photo. "Good, stand right there in front of our three tall buildings!" And the friggin' Kessel parking garage. And look at how hazy it is! Sunny in the foreground (probably been photoshopped) but hazy like L.A. in the background. It's Knoxville's Time? How 'bout, it's Knoxville's Time to Clean Up Its Damn Air? How does that sound?

You forgot to mention what a nice guy he is. Isn't that part of some city campaign regulations, that you have to mention how nice a guy Bill Haslam is?

Yeah. Otherwise you get fined for being shrill and divisive.

The first time I saw the billboard, I actually snickered. Here's Bill, standing in front of the three big buildings--three big phallic symbols thrusting themselves into the moist Knoxville sky. Bill is the biggest phallic symbol of them all, standing taller and prouder and more erect than the best Knoxville has to offer. It's simply frought, I tell ya, frought with sexual tension and a "my dick is bigger than yours" swagger. I love it.

His opponent, of course, has no penis.

You mean she has no "leadership ability," right?

That's what I love, so many guys in Knoxville harrumph about Madeline's "leadership," when what they really mean is that they are sure as hell not going to let some little woman tell them what to do.

I live in W Knox-unfortunately. Our whole neighborhood is littered w/ Haslam signs. My house and one other were the only two houses w/ Rogero signs. I stress, "were". Last weekend I was driving down the street and noticed that the house on the corner had both Rogero signs missing. Then I realized I didn't see mine in my yard. Turned around and sure enough-my sign was gone. How ridiculous is that? I guess 3 Rogero signs in the neighborhood were just too much of a threat for some to take.

Hi-Top, we have some shady people running amok in our neighborhood. I had a run in last night and chased them over your way. My new neighbor asked me to put up a "Slow" sign on our corner since we have idiots hauling ass on our street. Amazing considering it's a small circle with 8 houses that shouldn't have any through traffic. Anyway, we now have this plastic 3 ft., flourescent green/yellow, martian looking man on the side of the road holding a big orange flag and a slow sign. It's actually been working. Then last night I'm in the garage @ 7:00 when I hear a car rev, look out and see these guys hauling ass up the road with one guy hanging out the window holding the little green man. I jump in the car and take off after them. They proceeded to bash a mailbox with it, but I got the little guy back. Couldn't get the tag #.

So could I assume that the republicans are also stealing the little guy? If so, there will be one armless repulican next time because that little fucker is getting chained to a tree this weekend.

now you go and get 20 more signs and put them in your yard. and stay up one night and see if thats when they are taken. if someone sets foot on your property, fill their ass with buckshot.

thats one of the reason i'd never consider myself a liberal. im have no qualms about shooting someone. im also fully supportive of the death penalty as well. as ive said before, if W ever shows up at my door to take me away as a "terrorist", i'll be damned if i will go peacefully, like some mamby-pamby protestor would. of course, im also they type that laughed heartily when someone told me Jerry Garcia died, so..

Okay-now I need a gun and I don't want to have to wait 24 or 48 hours. I prefer something in black/ with good reaction-preferrably automatic w/ a silencer!
Actually-it would be awesome just to have a high-powered paintball gun. This could be fun.

actually, the paintball gun is a pretty good idea. just after you shoot them, tell them the next time it wont be paint!

you can also get a nailgun. couple of those in the leg would work wonders for keeping people out of your yard.

Use red paint. It'll hurt enought they'll think they've actually been shot. Aim for the sternum.

That's a good idea tingler. I may have to invest in a paintball gun. My wife will love that! Hiding in the yard painted up and in fatigues w/ a six pack night after night. Sort of a Bill Murray tribute if you will. This could be fun. Have to get in touch w/ the Rogero folks soon to get a qunatity of signs, though.
