My 5 would be, um, the first 5 tracks off Deliverance by Bubba Sparxx. That's all I've had time to listen to today. And it's good, too. I tell ya, whenever Timbaland gets around to putting out a box set, it's going to be a wonderful thing.

I almost bought Bubba Sparxx the other day. Still haven;t heard any of it, but I'm game. I've heard the Timbaland production is kind of stripped down and country, though. I may get the new Outkast and Murphy Lee discs first.

I also want to hear the Obie Trice disc. I thought it was supposed to come out yesterday, but I didn't see it at the stores. Maybe they pushed it back so it wouldn't compete with OutKast -- they're looking for that first-week Number One. I wasn't impressed by Obie on the Em track, altho I thought it was cute and clever the way Em managed to loop the final seconds of it onto the start of "Without Me" so that the first thing you heard on the radio was "Obie Trice, real name no gimmick." Helluva build-up. (It makes an interesting bridge to the first lines of "Without Me," too: the whole "guess who's back, Shady's back" and then "I've created a monster/cuz nobody wants to/see Marshall no more, they want Shady, I'm chopped liver" -- the gimmick that is his name has come to define him. Shit like that is why I love Eminem. But I'll be curious to see if Obie actually has anything going on. So far, I guess Eminem's taste in proteges has worked out OK.

Neko, of course, looked great. Voice ain't bad, either.
