there have been TWENTY STRAIGHT MONTHS OF JOB LOSSES.

That's pretty much two years of misery, George. The Labour Department said that 93 THOUSAND people lost their jobs in August.

That was 'up sharply' from the 43 thousand jobs lost in July.

This administration's council of economic advisors claimed that passage of the tax cut would produce 510 thousand new jobs in 2003, and 891 thousand in 2004.

But since the tax cut was signed, employers have CUT 225 thousand jobs.

So the idea that we can tax cut our way to prosperity is hogwash, and in seeing these figures... it SORT OF makes the Left's critique that a 'tax cut for the rich is what this is' argument stick better. The bottom line is that the wealthy folks really DO have more money, and if you are some poor schmuck on a production line somehere? Better be workin' hard, or else they'll ELIMINATE YOUR POSITION.

So the reality is that not only are the wealthy getting even richer, the poor REALLY ARE...getting poorer. And the proof that they ARE getting poorer... is in the job loss numbers.

These are real people who have kids in schools. There are fathers out there that have four and five kids at home, hungry mouths to feed... and they are coming home with pink slips in their hands, while these fat cat CEOs talk about profitability.

For a 15 cent uptick in their stock prices, these corporations are sacking the employees who have worked hard to GET them profits. So it's a clutchfucked situation, and who out there looks like it ain't hurting THEM? The brother truckers who OWN THE STOCK.

And who owns the stock?

The very same ones that got the tax cuts the most. These are decent times if you're really rich in America.

And EVEN AS THIS MESS develops? We're supposed to spend money that we really DO NOT HAVE on Iraq! He wants 87 billion bucks for Iraq! I find myself getting pissed off looking at this mess.

Why don't politicians work on the problems that we have RIGHT HERE AT HOME?

Even as the deficit is the highest ON RECORD,

at 455 BILLION dollars....

the number of unemployed Americans reached a TWENTY YEAR HIGH this month, and tax revenues have fallen three straight years.

The nation's unemployment has reached a 20 year HIGH.

It's been twenty LONG years since this many people were without a job.

That rightfully should be UNACCEPTABLE to the American people, whether they are conservative... OR liberal.

So my thought, at this point, is that you either GET IT DONE, and get this economy back on track, or by God we'll elect someone who CAN.

That's freakin' ridiculous.
