ya know, i hate to bring up the oil factor, but while nations like iran and NK show off their weaponry in broad daylight to the world, why isnt W all about whipping their ass and bringing 'regime change' to these nations as well? hmm, what would be one of the variables that iraq has over these nations(im still waiting for ANY neocon to address this hypothesis)?

Iran parades new missiles daubed with threats to wipe Israel off map

Iran yesterday defiantly showed off six of its new ballistic missiles daubed with anti-US and anti-Israel slogans in a move sure to reinforce international concern over the nature of its nuclear programme.
At the climax of a military parade marking the outbreak of the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war, the enormous Shehab-3 missiles were rolled out painted with the messages, "We will crush America under our feet' and "Israel must be wiped off the map."

Iran later announced that it would scale down cooperation with the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency. Ali Akbar Salehim, Tehran's envoy to the IAEA, said on state television that Iran had been allowing the agency more oversight than required under the nuclear nonproliferation treaty "to show our goodwill and transparency."

The IAEA has imposed a strict deadline, saying Iran must prove it has no nuclear weapons programme by October 31. Its governing board has also demanded that Iran suspend uranium enrichment ac tivity and open its doors to unfettered inspections. If Tehran fails to comply, the UN security council could decide to impose sanctions.

The Shehab-3, which means "meteor" in Farsi, underwent final tests this year and has a range of about 810 miles, putting Israel and US bases in the Gulf within striking distance. It is based on the North Korean No-Dong and Pakistani Ghauri-11 medium-range missiles.

MAybe you missed the fact that Iran expelled Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabia news people for failing to warn the U.S. about intended attacks?
As for NK, they are only trying to use a bargaining chip to acheive a goal.

trust me, im not the only one(just ask Ian, since he has asked people to do this numerous times). its because a lot of people on here make up bullshit that they claim as fact, and if you are going to make a statement, you should be able to provide a link to where you got your information from. is that so much to ask? i guess it is, seeing as you couldnt do that with your statement you claimed as a fact, and you STILL havent. ya know, if you are going to make a claim like that, why should i have to look it up for you? oh well, i guess since you cant provide a link to this story, im guessing it must be BS too. i did a search on google news, and nothing came up. oh well, so much for that.

thats quite a token offering, isnt it?

"As for NK, they are only trying to use a bargaining chip to acheive a goal."

replace 'NK' with 'Iran', and that first sentence would mean the same thing as it applies to the second.

Most likely Bush is actually afraid to do anything else, as anything he does at this point might cause him to lose his job.

However I think that the administration was planning to take on Iran next, until Iraq turned into a oil draining fiasco. If they could take over Iran and Iraq they would pretty much control the region.

P.S. Iran has oil and minerals
