Coworkers in DC are about to face down the storm...federal employees are home today, schools shut, Metro stopped running at 11 a.m., a coworker tells me. She left the office, laptop in tow, to work at home.

Here in the Hillbilly Nation, sunny weather has given way to overcast skies and light breezes in less than an hour as Isabel slings her snot every which way. Tony Rice sings "I hear the wind a blowin' through that Lonesome Pine..." as the breezes pick up.
