I knew this a year ago. When a leader is having trouble at home, he or she will always look to other nations to draw the people away from domestic issues.

Why now? Because Karl Rove's thinking about 2004 Democratic TV ads with the persistent theme, "He Lied," and he's going to do whatever he can to defuse the issues now. What I love is this pretend-naivete: "Gee, we can't imagine why anyone would think that."

But, but, I like to bash Shrubya and Co. on this issue! Damn him! Oh well, there is always the economy, the unemployment rate, the environment, lack of WMD, not capturing Bin Laden or Saddam, the lying to the American public, etc. Speaking of our next President, and I know we weren't, but I don't care, let's talk about him, did you know Wesley Clark is a licensed investment banker?
"He joined Stephens Inc. as a consultant in July of 2000 and was named Managing Director Merchant Banking of Stephens Group, Inc. from March 2001 through February 2003. He is currently the chairman of Wesley K. Clark & Associates, a strategic advisory and consulting firm."
"General Clark is a 1966 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point where he graduated first in his class. He holds a Masters Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University where he was a Rhodes Scholar."
"General Clark is a recipient of numerous U.S. and foreign military awards, including the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart."
"In August 2000, General Clark was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nations highest civilian honor".
Our Next President

Clark would make a great VP. Dean would do an outstanding job running our country, re-taxing the rich to pay off Dubya's fiascos, rebuilding AmTrak, and subsidizing Hydrogen Energy and Hydrogen Autos; while Clark busies himself with evacuating our boys from Afghanistan and Iraq, and redeploying them along the miles of new railroads, protecting our National interests.I like the idea.

It seems the Bushes are following your lead in recruiting for the Democrats what with their profanation with all things the Constitution of these United States stand for.You are causing the recrudence of what you wish to defeat. Remember how much you helped you gubernatorial canidate Van Hillary last year? Lost by a mile.

Dream on. Never has our country's economy sucked so bad in such quick time as this loser has drug us down with. Hey, if you don't like our country in 2005, when the Dems regain their rightful control, why don't you move down to the country of Texas to buddy up with all of your fascist Oil buddy friends.

this election needs swing votes, especially in the south. how the hell are you going to do that with dean?!? here's the thing; for the new york jewish vote, if given the choice between Clark and bush, voters will take clark. for the Mass liberal vote, same instance, people will vote clark. same for vermont. but the great thing about clark is that he can get the swing voters in the south and midwest as well. guess what? you AINT gonna get those with Kerry, Liberman or Dean! southerners wont vote for them, period. vote clark.

Dean is too far to the left to win the general election, and frankly I don't think he'll stand up very well to direct fire from the Bush political machine. He's the candidate the Bush folks want to run against, and Clark as VP won't give him that much cover. Support a Clark candidacy if you want to defeat Bush in the general election. Even if you're a green party member, you've got to realize that it's better to get a moderate-liberal candidate in office than lose again to a neo-conservative. Four more years of the current administration will pretty much provide for the dismantling of everything somebody on the far left stands for. While Clark may not provide everything you wild-eyed liberals out there desire, he's sure as hell going to get you closer than Bush will.

i didnt want this war. the war happened. now it needs to be fixed. a fru-fru liberal from vermont is going to fuck this up is he gets the nomination. we cant just pull out of iraq now, that would lead to complete chaos. we need a leader now who is going to fix things, and do it quickly. who else to do it but a 4 star general. so hes no politican-GOOD! thank god for that i say. whats done is done as far as the war goes. its happened and we cant turn back time on it. lets get someone in there that knows war firsthand(lord knows it aint bush).vote Clark.

dean will never get the southern states. a democrat from VERMONT?! are you insane?? southern whites will eat him alive! he was also against the war from the start; regardless of opinion, the majority of americans still think it was the right thing to do. Clark or maybe Edwards are the only real choices that have a chance at winning.

"re-taxing the rich to pay off Dubya's fiascos"Simple way to deal with that: pass the cost onto the customers who by and large are middle class and poor. Great way of showing how much you care for the "working people". "rebuilding AmTrak" Even God couldn't rebuild AmTrak. "and subsidizing Hydrogen Energy and Hydrogen Autos" Just what we need, more government subsidies. The people know who their sugardaddy is. "; while Clark busies himself with evacuating our boys from Afghanistan and Iraq, and redeploying them along the miles of new railroads, protecting our National interests." A common defense sure beats being the world's police force. In spite of it all, I will keep on giving them all hell.
