Two dudes, dude One with shaggy hair and skater shorts, dude Two in neat'n'tidy indie rock wear.

dude Two (...entering the elevator, laughing):...yeah, yeah, it totally was!

dude One: Yeah. It was cool.

dude Two: So what'd you do today?

dude One: Oh, this friend of mine is making a movie and they're shooting in my apartment all day, so I've been there. It was only supposed to take them five hours, but...

dude Two: They're filming it in your apartment?

dude One: Yeah, like the first 25 minutes of it.

dude Two: What kind of movie?

dude One: From what I saw, at the beginning this guy is supposed to be in really bad shape, like, really fucked up, and bloody and everything. And he's in this apartment...

dude Two: Your apartment.

dude One (laughing): Yeah. And he's like, just going all through everything trying to find something to eat. And all the food's bad and everything.

dude Two: (ha ha ha)

dude One: But he EATS it anyway! Like, this thing of yogurt with all this green stuff growing on it...

dude Two: Ugh.

dude One: Yeah, and like this spaghetti that's been sitting out for days. I mean, I saw that stuff sitting out last night, so it's been sitting out there, I don't know how long. And he fucking ate it!

dude Two(laughs queasily): That's cool!

dude One (getting off elevator with dude Two following): And there's like this whole jar of olives, like the whole jar, and then...

was this in the NYTimes elevator?

Oddly enough, yes.

The Dalai Lama's speaking in Central Park on Sunday. I'll probably wander over, weather permitting.

gee...fascinating.

so is this shooting a "film" or a "video".
becaue if it's a 16 mm film, 25 minutes would cost (give or take a little depending on type of film, color, black or white, negative, reversal) one thousand dollars. then it would cost about another one thousand to have it developed in another city, since thre is no 16mm developing company here in knoxville.
if they are film students at U.T., i somehow doubt they have 2,000.00 dollars to spend on one film. it's probably video.

a really bad one.

there's always digi flicks type format

...that all the college kids are so crazy about. It's probably pretty pricey too.

Which in no way precludes this from being a really bad $2,000 video. I wanna know the rest of the plot, though. I mean, what comes after the olives?
