Rumsfeld and Ashcroft are maniacal monsters that need to be removed.

I'm no huge Bush fan at this point. I did think he was a better choice than Gore, and I did vote for him OVER Gore. Me and a bunch of other Tennesseans did that, and TENNEFREAKINSEE is what cost Gore the election, not the state of Florida. But I won't go into the ten MILLION reasons why he really DID win Florida.

I also disagree that he's automatically headed back to Crawford. I think this president will actually be fairly tough to beat. I don't think you realise that removing a sitting president is harder than you might imagine. I think we will see yet ANOTHER very close race. I might be convinced to vote for John Edwards. I called his office Friday to learn his positions on several issues that are key with me, and key to others in the victims rights movement.

But I can't see myself voting for Dean at this point. A bunch of those other guys would have to come back to the center for me to vote for any of them. That (pandering to the minority) speech at the Baltimore college from Liberdork was just sickening. This guy's like Mister McGoo, and he DOES NOT HAVE A PRAYER at beating Bush. If you guys nominate Lieberman, or Gephardt, or Sharpton, or Braun, then just FORGET about it. You got Bush for 4 more years; put it in three inch letters cuz I guarantee it. Dean MIGHT be able to beat him. John Edwards WILL beat him, if he gets the chance-- NONE of those other clowns can beat him.

The economy SUCKS. It STINKS, as you said. IT SUCKS. Tons of folks might be able to say "I freakin' can't AFFORD to be a republican anymore." The economy is an issue that the democrats need to POUND home over and over. Run ON it, run WITH it, talk ABOUT IT; keep it on the burner, cuz George is WEAK on it. Unemployment IS way to high, as you said. Not getting OBL or Hussein was no big thing, and probably expected, but not finding those chemical weapons is a major DISASTER for us in worldwide perception; it now looks like we invaded a weak country and we WANT that oil. That's what France and a bunch of the euros now really think.

I don't think Bush purposely lied about Al Queda, but I sure am sick of hearing about WAR. I'm ready for war to plucking END, Jack. I want troops home, and this damn war to be OVER. Let's get back to makin' money.

Rumsfield and Ashcroft are not monsters as you've said. Ashcroft is a fine Attorney General, with an impeccable record in politics. His resume looks like a million bucks, and he's THE most qualified Attorney General in American history. He makes Robert Kennedy look like somebody's lush uncle who took some law classes at night at Toogaloo Tech. Janet Reno couldn't carry John Ashcroft's JOCK on a gym floor. He's ten THOUSAND times more qualified than she ever was.

I'm open to voting for a democrat, but not for just ANY democrat. You guys wanna WIN? Run John Edwards right down the middle on Bush, and have him choose an unknown, goodlooking, YOUNG female congresswoman as his running mate. Then there'll be a regime change.

But he's gonna be harder to beat than you think, Fermaggio, and the religious right folks in this country LIKE this guy, and they WILL show up at the polls to vote for him. A lot of older folks like Bush, and they VOTE. You guys on the left had better get some college kids voting again, as well. You've lost the House in 1994; Jefford's defection was nullified in the 2002 elections and the Senate belongs to the right; you've lost the presidency in 2000; the Supreme Court is one up for the Right; and the majority of governorships are in republican hands. Baby, you may not know this, but you ain't in charge anymore. And there's a BUNCH of folks on the left that just can't seem to realise it.

You are NOT...in charge...anymore.

This is NOT a good time in short term American political history to be a liberal. You can rally and insult conservatives all you want to, but unless you can beat them at the polls then you might just as well get USED TO SEEING THEM. Second place DOES NOT MATTER in American politics; it only matters if you can WIN.

And all that pandering to minorities is costing you votes. Every time Sharpton opens his mouth that sucking sound you hear are thousands of votes in dozens of states going right out the window. Al Sharpton is RUINING it for democrats; the man's a vicious racist and everyone knows it.

The Waco, Elian, and Ruby Ridge debacles were all hers. Using the freakin' Delta Force on that Waco compound was just diabolical.

Ashcroft was a staunch supporter of victims rights, and was a solid governor where prosecutions are concerned.
