As far as this three goes, I thought Warren Zevon was first, then John Ritter, then Johnny Cash.

Of course, we also recently lost Gregory Hines.

In think it's continuous... n/t

Yeah what was Eliot thinking when he called april the cruelest month. It has to be a fall month, don't ya think.

Hell My dad was hospitalised last week as well, he came through it allright.

I called him up and said well your still alive, Sounding happy he rattled off yeah and talked a bit which is odd for my dad. I told him the Dalai Lama was in town and he said who? (My dad's a preacher)
I explained who that was... and how strange it was to see all of the buddhist in there robes with there families around town and was kind of exciting.

I told him that he had outlived Johnny Cash, and that he had died earlier that day. He said well I outlived by a few hours anyways...

Dad gets sick about this time every year so I expect one of these years to mourn his death in September, or October whoo... yep one of the fall months has got to be the cruelest month.

sorry to hear about your dad. its hard to say which is worse; the waiting for "it" to happen, or when it finally does. i think for me, now after 2 years, i think the waiting was the worst. nothing is more terrible then seeing the man who raised you in pain and totally incoherent to boot, since he was a very intelligent and articulate man(PhD in chemistry). was actually kind of a relief when he finally passed, at least i knew the pain was over for him.

They happen. And it sucks. A wealth of talent has been lost.

true, but this should encourage those of us with children to raise and develop more talent. that's the way it generally works. talent dies, talent is born. ...just sometimes it's hard to find.

sometimes REALLY hard to find.
