Her book "it takes a village..." basically says that we are incapable of raising our own children so the government should. Pretty scary considering her eye is on a second term as president and her ideas are way too close to socialism for me. God, doesn't anyone ever read?

uh huh. and we are just supposed to take your word for it? riiight. come on, do a google search. i tried, came up with ziltch. how bout this. since you claimed you read the book, how bout going and getting it, typing the line verbatim, as well as giving a page number. is that asking too much? unless the "it takes a village to raise children" confused you. Clinton calls for "a consensus of values and a common vision of what we can do today, individually and collectively, to build strong families and communities.". so basically, we need strong communities to help our children grow up. yeah, thats really about letting the government raise our kids. she has said that "THERE WILL BE TIMES when the village itself [read: the federal government] must act in place of parents" and accept "those responsibilities in all our names through the authority we vest in government.". lets face it; some parents are terrible authority figures. so yeah, sometimes the government has to step in to the betterment of the kids. thats a far cry from your claim that "Her book 'it takes a village...' basically says that we are incapable of raising our own children so the government should." but then again, you didnt really read the book, did you? "No government can love a child, and no policy can substitute for a familys care. But at the same time, government can either support or undermine families as they cope with moral, social and economic stresses of caring for children."-New York Magazine.com Apr 3, 2000

So, who makes the decision of when/if the village takes your children to raise? Hmm, still sounds like not a good idea to me.

Well, don't vote for her. But that doesn't have anything to do with RIAA filing lawsuits except that she's a lawyer and the RIAA is letting its lawyers run amok.
