ORONTO, Sept. 7 — This year's Toronto International Film Festival has, among other things, a selection of films with a definite musical slant, or in some cases the energy of a musical.
One of the big events this year was the premiere of Neil Young's "Greendale," a hauntingly memorable feature film version of his new CD of the same name. The film is a stripped-down tone poem powered by songs that have the bull's-eye ambition of elegies, pounded out by Mr. Young's backing band, Crazy Horse, sounding here like a savvy garage band.
