The man who wrote "I'll Sleep when I'm Dead" has gone to sleep. Zevon died yesterday of cancer.

That explains the howling around my kitchen door last night.

As a tribute, I think the Nat'l Education Association should adopt "a little old lady got mutilated late last night" as the official example of alliteration in all textbooks.
